They are also expected to think about the social implications of technology and reduce the possible harm produced by digital systems. Bicultural concepts can help to strengthen IT practice in New Zealand. Understanding M\u0101ori beliefs, viewpoints, and cultural responsibilities enables IT workers to make more inclusive decisions. Respect for M\u0101ori data sovereignty, cultural heritage, language, as well as traditional knowledge should be integrated into technology design and management methods.
